Gildas hummas details
- Ingredients:
- One 15-ounce can of Garbanzo beans ( aka: chickpeas) reserve some of the liquid from the can to blend well
- 2-4 Tablespoons of Tahini paste
- 2 large garlic cloves-finely diced
- 3 Tablespooons fresh lemon juice or the juice of one lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Place beans, tahini, garlic and lemon juice into the food processor or a blender. Puree: slowly add the reserved liquid from the beans until mixture is soft but firm. Add the salt and pepper to taste. Puree, spoon into a dish and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Serve with triangles of pita bread or crackers.
