Ready in: 1 hour 25 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 4 to 8 bone-in pork chops
- 1 clove fresh garlic, minced
- 2 (12 ounce) jars brown gravy
- 1 (32 ounce) bag refrigerated sauerkraut
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 1 hour 10 mins1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with enough oil to cover the bottom.
2. Sear the pork chops in the hot skillet until each side is golden brown, about 1 minute per side. Remove the pork chops from the pan and set aside. Stir the minced garlic into the hot pan, and cook a few seconds until it begins to turn light brown.
3. Pour the gravy into the skillet and replace the pork chops. Cover with the sauerkraut. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until the pork chops are so tender they can be broken apart with a knife, about an hour.
