Garlic Chili Sauce recipe

|15||dry red chilies, chopped|
|3||fresh ginger, minced|
|1 medium||onions, chopped|
|2 tbsp||soy sauce|
|1 ½ tbsp||cornstarch|
|salt, to taste|
Combine all ingredients except the sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over low heat. Cook until everything is cooked, about 10-15 minutes. If mixture is too dry, add a couple of tablespoons of water.
Remove from the heat and let the mixture cool. Transfer to a blender and process to preferred consistency.
Return blended mixture to the sauce pan and add the corn starch and sugar. Bring to a simmer until sauce begins to thicken. Transfer to jars and cool.
