Garden quiche recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (1/4 pound) butter
- 10 eggs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound large-curd cottage cheese
- 1 pound jack cheese, shredded
- 1 yellow onion, peeled and chopped
- 8 green onions, chopped
- 4 small zucchini, sliced
- 1/2 cup parsley, chopped
- 3 tomatoes, sliced very thin
Melt 2 Tablespoons butter and saute yellow onion. Whip eggs until fluffy and add flour, baking powder, salt, cottage cheese, melted butter, and half the jack cheese. Add sauteed onions, green onions, zucchini, and parsley.
Place mixture in greased 9 x 13-invh baking dish or 2 medium quiche dishes. Top with remaining jack cheese and then with tomato slices. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350 degrees F. for 1 hour or until the top is lightly browned
