Fresh cherry sauce recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | dark cherries, pitted |
1 tbsp | sugar |
120 ml | dry red wine |
1 tbsp | balsamic vinegar |
1 tsp | cherry liqueur |
Instructions
Combine cherries, sugar, red wine, and balsamic vinegar. Bring to a simmer and cook, until the fruit is soft, 6 to 8 minutes. Stir occasionally.Transfer the mixture to a blender and purée until completely smooth.
Return the mixture to the pan and add the cherry liqueur. Simmer until reduced to about 60 ml, about 2 minutes.
Serving suggestions:Serve as a topping with grilled peaches.
