French style chicken recipe details
Ingredients
1.2 kg poulard |
salt and pepper |
2 onions, chopped |
3 clove(s) garlic, minced |
1 red bell pepper, diced |
4 tomatoes, peeled and diced |
1 sprig(s) rosemary |
200 ml single cream |
paprika powder |
2 tbsp butter |
Instructions
In a roasting tin, heat the butter. Add the poulard, season with salt and pepper inside and outside and fry over medium heat from all sides until golden brown. Add the vegetables. Reduce the heat, cover and stew for 30 minutes over low heat. Turn the chicken. Add the rosemary and cook for 30 more minutes or until tender. Remove from the tin and carve the chicken. Cover and keep warm. Bring the sauce with the vegetables to a boil. Reduce the heat and stir in the cream. Season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika powder and let simmer for some minutes. Pour the sauce over the poulard pieces and serve.Preparation time:
