Flavorful cajun burgers recipe details
Patties with major flavor, thanks to the triple threat of onion, celery and carrot, plus a heap of Cajun seasoning. Serve with Creole mustard as a condiment, if you can get your hands on it.

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 1/4 cup minced celery
- 1/4 cup minced carrot
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 onion rolls, split
- Lettuce, sliced onion, sliced tomato, and other desired burger toppings
Preparation method
Prep: 30 mins | Cook: 15 mins1. Preheat grill to medium and lightly oil grate.
2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, celery, carrot, and parsley; cook for about 8 minutes to soften, then transfer to a mixing bowl.
3. Add Cajun seasoning, salt, and hot sauce to the vegetables and stir well. Add ground beef, mix to incorporate the seasonings, then form into 4 burger patties.
4. Set patties on grill and close lid. Cook for about 6 minutes, then flip and cook for another 5 to 7 minutes, until burgers reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees F. Toast buns.
5. Build burgers on toasted buns with a patty, plus any desired burger toppings. Serve.
