Flat iron cheesesteak recipe details
Philly cheesesteak made with flat iron steaks. Produces an authentic taste. Try with 3 ounces provolone instead of Cheese Wiz.

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1 pound flat iron steak
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup Cheese Wiz(R) American
- 4 hoagie rolls, toasted & split lengthwise
Preparation method
Prep: 1 hour | Cook: 20 mins1. Partially freeze steak, then cut into strips as thin as possible against the grain of the meat.
2. Mix meat with spices, heat a pan or griddle to medium high heat. Cook meat to desired doneness, set aside, mix with Cheese Wiz while still hot.
3. In the same pan or griddle the meat was cooked, heat oil with onion and saute until desired doneness. Stir into the meat.
4. Place on hoagie rolls, serve with green peppers and pickles if desired.
