Five spice cubes details
INGREDIENTS:1 can five-spiced cubes
2 eggplants, sliced
5 garlic cloves, chopped finely
20g dried shrimps, soaked till soft and chopped finely
2 tbsp cooking oil
50ml water
Salt to taste
Method:
- Heat up oil in a wok. Fry chopped garlic and dried shrimps till fragrant.
- Add sliced eggplants and fry thoroughly. Add in five-spiced cubes. Stir well.
- Pour in water and bring to a boil. Cover wok and simmer over low heat until eggplant slices are very soft and absorb most of the liquid. Add more water if required.
- Taste with salt and dish out. Serve.
