Fish terrine recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | white fish, cooked, deboned (you can use leftovers) |
½ l | broth |
1 | onion, sliced |
70 g | bacon, chopped |
60 g | toast |
1 | egg |
½ tsp | cornstarch |
salt and pepper | |
chili powder | |
paprika powder | |
freshly ground nutmeg | |
some | breadcrumbs |
Instructions
Fry the bacon and onion for 5-8 minutes. Soak the toast bread in the broth. Then mince the fish, squeezed out bread, onion and bacon with the meat grinder. Season well with salt, pepper, chili powder, paprika powder and nutmeg! Add the egg and cornstarch and knead until well combined.Grease a small cake tin and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Add the fish mixture, wrap the tin tightly with aluminium foil and put the tin into a larger ovenproof dish. Add hot water until the smaller tin stands half in water. Bake at 180°C for 1 hour.
Let cool down completely and place into the fridge overnight.
Serve on a bed of salad or with some toasted bread. The terrine can also be served hot.
