Fish and swiss chard casserole recipe details
Ingredients
1 | onion, chopped |
1 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
2 tbsp | olive oil |
1 kg | Swiss chard, cut into stripes |
salt and pepper | |
nutmeg | |
1 tbsp | ginger, freshly grated |
4 | fish fillets, e.g. rosefish |
lime juice | |
150 ml | single cream |
1 | egg |
150 g | grated cheese (Cheddar or Gouda) |
Instructions
In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion and garlic until lucent. Add the Swiss chard and cook for 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg and ginger.Season the fish with salt and pepper and sprinkle with lime juice.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Divide half of the Swiss chard on the bottom of a greased casserole dish. Cover with the fish and divide the remaining Swiss chard on top.
Whisk the single cream with the egg, stir in the grated cheese and pour the sauce over the casserole. Bake for 30 minutes.
Serve with potatoes.
