Figs in red wine recipe details
Ingredients
200 g | dried figs |
200 ml | red wine |
½ | lemon, grated rind |
½ tsp | cinnamon powder |
125 ml | single cream |
4 tsp | almond slivers, to garnish |
Instructions
Wash the figs and cut each into eight pieces. In a saucepan combine the wine, the figs, the lemon rind and the cinnamon. Cover, bring to the boil and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.Remove the lid of the saucepan an place the saucepan into cold water to allow the ingredients to cool. Whisk the single cream until stiff.
Evenly divide the figs and the sauce into 4 dessert bowls and garnish with whipped cream and almond slivers.
