Ingredients
2 kg | fresh figs |
1 stick(s) | cinnamon |
100 ml | fresh lemon juice |
900 g | sugar |
water |
Instructions
Combine sugar and lemon juice in a largepot. Heat and add a bit of water, just enough to dissolve the sugar.Add cinnamon and figs. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer at a low boil about 45 minutes, stirring often.
Remove and discard cinnamon stick. Spoon hot fig preserves into hot, sterilized jars. Process in boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
