Egg truffles benedict recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 4 slices white or nut grain bread
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup mild cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1/2 cup sliced scallions
- 4 slices grilled Canadian bacon (finely chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1 package Hollandaise sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Mold bread slices to fit into a well-greased Texas Muffin pan. Sprinkle 1/4 cup shredded cheese, 1/8 cup scallions, and 1 slice chopped Canadian bacon into each bread casket. Add pinch of garlic powder and pinch of basil. Beat eggs and pour over mixture in each basket, covering ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until eggs puff up. Heat Hollandaise sauce and set aside. Gently lift egg truffles out of pan onto serving dish. Top with Hollandaise sauce and pinch of paprika and serve.
