Egg rolls recipe details
It’s not your standard egg roll with cabbage inside. It’s a meat-filled egg roll with crunchy water chestnuts that is easy to make.

Ingredients
Serves: 7- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 (8 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained and diced
- 1 egg
- 14 eggroll wraps
- Canola oil for frying
Preparation method
Prep: 25 mins | Cook: 8 mins1. Knead together ground beef, green onions, soy sauce, seasonings, water chestnuts and egg in a big mixing bowl.
2. Follow directions on packaging to roll egg rolls, there should be a little diagram that shows you how. If you dip your fingertip in water and drag it along the edge, you can almost seal the egg roll shut like an envelope.
3. Heat oil in large wok on medium-high heat, or fill deep fryer and set to medium-high.
4. When it’s hot, deep fry your egg rolls a handful at a time until they become a dark golden brown, which can take anywhere from 4 to 8 minutes.
5. Remove, drain on paper towel, and serve warm with lots of sweet and sour sauce.
