Ingredients

  1. Eggs – 8 (hard boiled)
  2. Tomato Puree – 1 cup
  3. Tomatoes – 3
  4. Tamarind pulp (Imli ka gooda) – ½ cup
  5. Crushed Red Chilies – 2 tblsp
  6. Roasted and Crushed Cumin Seeds (bhuna/kotta hoa zeera) – 1tsp
  7. Crushed Black Pepper – 1tsp
  8. Green Chilies – 8
  9. Ginger/Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
  10. Salt – to taste
  11. Oil 5 tbsp
  12. Chaat Masala and Fresh Coriander (hara Dhania) – For garnishing

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pot
  2. Fry eggs and keep aside
  3. Fry ginger/garlic in the same oil
  4. Add tomatoes, tomato puree, red chilies, cumin, black pepper, green chilies and salt. Add water as desired and cook till gravy thickens
  5. Add eggs and tamarind pulp. Fry
  6. When oil surfaces, remove from flame
  7. Serve delicious egg masala garnished with fresh coriander and chaat masala
