Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1 (28 ounce) package frozen french fries
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 1/2 cups chicken or beef broth
- 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce, to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups fresh white Cheddar cheese curds
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 20 mins1. Prepare french fries according to package instructions.
2. Meanwhile, make the gravy: Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Whisk in flour and cook, stirring, for 8 to 10 minutes until the mixture turns golden-brown.
3. Slowly add chicken broth to the saucepan, stirring constantly. Turn heat up to high. When sauce comes to a boil, turn heat down to low and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring often. Add BBQ sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.
4. To serve: Divide fries among individual serving plates. Top with cheese curds, then cover with gravy.
