Easy berry trifle recipe details
- Ingredients
- 6 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- One 12-ounce container Cool Whipdessert topping
- 1 prepared angel food cake
- 1 pint strawberries
- 1 pint blueberries
Cut the angel food cake into 1-inch cubes. Beat the cream cheese and sugar until well combined. Stir in vanilla. Gently fold the Cool Whipinto the cream cheese mixture. Place half of the cake cubes in a large clear glass bowl or individual dessert dishes. Cover with 1/2 of the Cool Whipmixture and then 1/2 of the berries. Top with the remaining cake then the Cool Whip mixture. Arrange remaining berries in a decorative fashion in the top of the trifle.
Note:For a lighter version of this festive dessert, use Neufchatel cheese and light or fat-free Cool Whip. Try substituting any seasonal berries or peaches for a great variation on this treat!
