Dutch babies with ham recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 8 teaspoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 8 eggs
- Butter
- Flour
- 1 cup diced cooked ham
- 2 to 3 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1/2 lemon
Combine whipping cream with flour and salt. With a fork beat in eggs until all ingredients are evenly blended. Butter four 8-inch round foil pie pans very heavily and dust with flour. Arrange 1/4 cup diced ham in the bottom of each pan and divide the batter evenly among the pans. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
Mix the sliced apples with lemon juice and lightly saute in a small amount of butter until translucent. Sugar and cinnamon may be added if desired. Sugar each “baby” with 1/4 of the apples and be prepared for rave reviews!
