Delicious pumpkin loki ki mazedar sabzi details
Ingredients
- Pumpkin (louki) – ½ kg
- Milk – ½ cup
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds(rai daana) – 1tsp
- Cumin seeds (zeera) – 1 tsp
- Gram lentils (channay ki daal) – 1 tsp (boiled)
- White lentils (mash ki daal) – 1 tsp (boiled)
- Fenugreek seeds (methi daana) – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder (haldi) – ½ tsp
- Bay leaves (curry patta) – 6
- Red chillies – 6
- Green chillies – 6 (chopped)
- Onion – 1 (chopped)
- Asafoetida (heeng) – 1 pinch
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – as required
Instructions
- Cut pumpkin into square pieces
- Heat oil in a frying pan
- Add mustard seeds, cumin, both lentils,fenugreek seeds, bay leaves and red chillies
- In the same frying pan add onion, green chillies and pumpkin
- Cook over low flame
- After 10 mins add red chillies, turmeric, asafetida and salt and stir
- After cooking for 5 mins add milk
- Keep cooking until milk dries
- Serve hot
