Delicious garlic and herb french bread recipe details
This is a great garlic bread recipe with garlic baked in and topped with Parmesan, fresh herbs, garlic, garlic powder and more.

Ingredients
Serves: 1- 2 packages yeast
- 2 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 7 cups white flour
- 1 tablespoon oregano (chopped finely)
- 1 tablespoon basil (chopped finely)
- 1 tablespoon parsley ( chopped finely)
- cornmeal
- olive oil
- 5 large garlic cloves (finely minced)
- garlic powder
- Parmasan cheese
- spray butter
Preparation method
Prep: 3 hours | Cook: 25 mins1. Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large mixing bowl. When dissolved add melted butter, salt and flour.
2. Mix with an electric mixer until formed together.
3. Add 3/4 of all three herbs into the dough and add the 3 of the chopped garlic cloves into the dough. Mix the dough again until all of the garlic and herbs are evenly spread. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, about 40 times, or use a dough hook on a stand mixer and knead for 2 minutes.
4. Spray a large bowl with butter and put dough in it, covering it entirely with butter. Cover and let rise for one hour.
5. Punch down and divide in 3. Dust a baking pan with corn meal. Shape each third into a skinny loaf. Cover and let rise for 45 minutes.
6. Take a sharp knife and slit the tops, then cover each loaf in olive oil, then sprinkle with all the herbs, garlic, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese.
7. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
8. Let rise for 10 minutes.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
