- Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 Tablespoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 sticks (1 cup) margarine
- 1 cup water
- 4 Tablespoons cocoa
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Frosting:
- 1 stick margarine
- 3 Tablespoons cocoa
- 6 Tablespoons buttermilk
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions:
Brownies: Sift flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt; set aside. Melt margarine with water and cocoa; bring to a boil. Stir in dry ingredients and add buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla. Grease and flour a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
Frosting: Bring margarine, cocoa, and buttermilk to a boil. Stir in powdered sugar, vanilla, and chopped nuts.
Cool completely. Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy!
