Deb's molasses blueberry cake recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 heaping teaspoon baking soda
- 2-1/2 cups sifted flour
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 cup hot tea
- 1 cup blueberries
Mix dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients (add hot tea last). Fold in berries. Sprinkle with 3 to 4 Tablespoons sugar. Use 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Goes well with scrambled eggs.
