Date and apple loaf recipe details
Ingredients
150 g | butter, softened |
125 g | soft brown sugar |
2 tbsp | clear honey |
2 large | eggs |
225 g | self-raising flour |
1 tsp | cinnamon, ground |
1 | eating apple, peeled, cored & diced |
125 g | dried, stoned dates, chopped |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180C/160CFan/Gas 4. Line a loaf tin with baking paper.Beat together the butter, sugar and honey into a creamy consistency. Add the eggs, flour and cinnamon and beat until smooth. Stir the apple and dates into the mixture.
Put the mixture in the tin and bake for 50 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Leave to cool for 10 mins, then turn out. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
