Dad's famous barbequed chicken legs recipe details

Ingredients
Serves: 6- For Grilling Sauce:
- 11 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cups apple cider vinegar
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 12 whole chicken legs
- For Finishing Sauce:
- 5 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon butter
- 6 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 scant cup ketchup
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 2 hours1. Heat grill to medium-low.
2. Combine first four ingredients in a saucepan and heat. Then pout them into a spray bottle.
3. Place chicken legs on the grill. Grill for between 1 1/2 hours and 2 hours until they’re tender and cooked all the way through. Every 10 minutes, spray all over with the vinegar sauce.
4. Combine and whisk Finishing Sauce ingredients in a mixing bowl.
5. In the last 15 minutes of grilling time, brush chicken on all sides with the Finishing Sauce.
