Curried lamb recipe details
Ingredients
1 kg | lamb, diced |
500 ml | beef broth |
240 ml | yogurt |
1 tbsp | lemon juice |
1 medium | onion, chopped |
3 tbsp | vegetable oil |
2 tbsp | coriander, ground |
1 tbsp | cardamom, ground |
1 ½ tsp | cumin, ground |
1 tsp | turmeric |
1 tsp | salt and pepper, to taste |
⅛ tsp | cayenne pepper |
Instructions
Sauté onion until soft. Stir in the spices and cook for 1 minute.Increase heat and stir in lamb. Sauté until browned, about 7 minutes. Add beef broth and bring to a boil. Cover and and let simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
Remove cover and simmer for further 20 minutes or until sauce thickens. Stir in yogurt and lemon juice.
