Cucumber Salad in Chinese Style recipe
Ingredients
3 | Lebanese cucumber(s) |
1 tbsp | white sugar |
1 tsp | sea salt |
ground black pepper | |
For the Dressing: | |
2 tbsp | soy sauce, light |
2 clove(s) | garlic, finely diced |
1 tbsp | gingerroot, finely diced |
tsp | sesame oil |
Instructions
Peel the cucumbers and cut half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds with a spoon if cucumber is older or watery.
Cut the cucumbers diagonal in 1-1½ cm pieces and place them in a bowl with sugar and salt. Mix well.
Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes
Prepare the dressing mixing the soy sauce, garlic, gingerroot and sesame oil together.
Drain the cucumber pieces and squeeze away any excess liqued. Use your hands.
Combine chilled cucumber and dressing in a serving bowl, sprinkle with pepper and serve immediately.
