Crusty salmon and potato balls recipe details
Ingredients
350 g | potatoes, peeled |
3 slice(s) | white bread |
300 g | smoked salmon, diced |
1 | egg |
2 tsp | wasabi paste |
150 g | crème fraîche |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
20 g | butter, soft |
2 tbsp | oil |
2 | spring onions, finely chopped |
Instructions
Cook the potatoes in salted water until done. Drain and mash the potatoes. Grind the bread.Combine the potatoes with the salmon, onions, butter, egg and 2 tablespoons of the ground bread. Season with pepper. Form to 8 balls and roll the balls in the remaining ground bread until well coated.
In a pan, heat the oil. Fry the balls until golden and crispy all around.
Mix together the wasabi paste and the Crème fraîche. Season to taste with salt. Serve the dip with the fried balls.
