Crumble topping recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup pack brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup butter (don’t substitute) softened
Crumble Topping for Jan’s Fruit Surprise
I made this up. So make it your own by adding chopped nuts, grains, whatever.
Directions:Mix dry ingredients in food processor, add vanilla. As processor is on, add butter, a bit at a time, until incorporated. (It should almost make a dough- if not, add more softened butter.) This should go in a prepared pan only about 1/2 inch thick, spread evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes until bubbly. Cools as it breaks apart. Process in food processor with cutting blade to crumble.
This will last in refrigerator forever, and it’s great on any fruit dish (cooked or fresh) as a garnish.
