Creamy mushroom sauce recipe details

Ingredients
Serves: 2- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon chopped onions
- 2 tablespoons chopped red bell pepper
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- 1/4 cup half-and-half
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 15 mins1. Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. When oil is hot, add the mushrooms, onion, and bell peppers. Cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes.
2. In small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and vegetable broth. Then combine with half-and-half, salt, and pepper and slowly pour into saucepan over the mushrooms. Cook over medium, stirring constantly, for about 2 minutes to thicken.
3. Serve over pasta, chicken, and/or vegetables.
