Cream cheese sandwiches with apricot sauce recipe details
Ingredients
4 slice(s) | soft bread |
For the spread: | |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
230 g | cream cheese |
For the Batter: | |
4 medium | eggs |
180 ml | milk |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
For frying: | |
3 tbsp | butter |
For the sauce: | |
240 ml | apricot jam |
80 ml | orange juice |
Instructions
Mix together the cream cheese and vanilla. Spread on 6 slices of bread. Put 2 slices together, filling side in.Beat together all the batter ingredients until well mixed. Dip sandwiches in batter, coating both sides.
Melt butter in a alrge skillet and fry sandwiches until golden brown on both sides.
Combine apricot jam with the orange juice in a saucepan and beat to mix.
To serve, sprinkle fruit sauce over sandwiches.
