- Ingredients Topping
- 2/3 cup oatmeal
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 2 Tablespoons water
- Ingredients Filling
- One 16-ounce can whole cranberry sauce
- 4 cups fresh pears, peeled and sliced (about 4 large Anjou or Comice)
- 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
Combine all ingredients for topping. Place cranberry sauce in large bowl and break up with spoon to loosen gel. Don’t overwork or you will crush the berries. Add the pears, cinnamon, and lemon juice and toss to combine. Transfer to saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until pears soften, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Spoon mixture into individual serving dishes or large Pyrex dish. Cover with topping and bake for 15 minutes until the mixture is bubbly and the topping is browned.
