Cranberry bread recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 1-1/2 cups light raisins
- 1-1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt together. Add butter to make crumbs. Add egg, orange peel, and orange juice. Stir and mix well. Fold in raisins and cranberries. (Can use more cranberries instead of raisins if desired.)
Bake in greased 5 x 9 x 3-inch loaf pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool on rack after removing from pan.
