Crab potato bake recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 8 large potatoes, peeled
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 to 1-1/2 cups half and half
- Cayenne pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 2 cups grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 pound fresh Maine crab meat
- Paprika
Boil the potatoes until soft; drain. Add butter and let melt over hot potatoes. Mash potatoes and add cream, mixing until smooth and not stiff. Add cayenne pepper, garlic powder, parsley, green onions, and cheese to the potatoes. Fold in crab meat. Place mixture in a casserole dish or individual ramekins and sprinkle with paprika. Bake until heated through and cheese melts. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes in a casserole dish or 15 to 20 minutes in a ramekin.
