Country style mashed potatoes recipe details

Ingredients
Serves: 8- 1/2 cups milk or Silk(R) soy milk
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 1/2 tablespoons dried oregano
- 1 bulb garlic fully peeled
- 4 pounds unpeeled russet potatoes (just a personal favorite but works with any baking potatoes) cut in 1 inch pieces.
- 3/4 cup sour cream
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 15 mins | Extra time: 1 day 35 mins1. Dice Garlic and combine with cut potatoes in a large saucepan. Cover with water and heat to boil. Reduce heat to simmer covered until potatoes are fork-tender. (about 12-15 minutes) Drain potatoes well.
2. While potatoes are boiling, place milk and butter with herbs in a small saucepan. Start mixture over low heat and cook until the butter is almost melted and milk is warm.
3. Put drained potatoes in large mixing bowl. Add butter mixture and sour cream, and mash to the consistency that you want. Enjoy!
