Country Apple Coffee Cake recipe

- 2 Tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
- 1-1/2 cups chopped, peeled apples
- One 10-ounce can Hungry Jackbiscuits
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup light corn syrup
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup pecan halves or pieces
- Glaze Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup 10x sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 to 2 teaspoons milk
Instructions:
Using 1 tablespoon margarine, generously grease the bottom and sides of 9-inch round or 8-inch square pan. Spread one cup of the apples into the pan. Separate dough into 10 biscuits; cut each into four pieces. Arrange biscuit pieces point side up over apples.
Top with remaining apples. In a small bowl, combine remaining 1 Tablespoon margarine, brown sugar, cinnamon, con syrup and egg; beat 2 to 3 minutes until sugar is partially dissolved. Stir in pecans; spoon over biscuit pieces. Bake at 350 for 35 to 45 minutes. Drizzle glaze over cake after cooled 5 minutes. (Okay to prepare the day ahead and bake next morning.)
