Cod fish balls recipe details
Ingredients1. Codfish (1 pound)
2. fresh bread crumbs (2c)
3. eggs (2)
4. softened butter (1tbsp)
5. fresh pumpkin (1 pound)
6. oil
7. salt and black pepper (to taste)
Method of preparation
1. Take cod fish; soak it in water for overnight. Next day throw out the water, place it in saucepan and then cover it with cold water. Keep it to boil until it becomes soft. Remove skin, bone and then flake it properly.
2. Now cook pumpkin until it becomes soft. Mash it well and then beat softened butter, salt, pepper and two lightly beaten eggs in it. Then mix bread crumbs in it to make the mixture firm.
3. Make small balls of this mixture and then coat each ball with bread crumbs. Take a heavy frying pan, place it over heat. Heat oil in it and then put the fish balls in hot oil to fry.
4. Fry them for about 3 to 4 minutes until they get golden brown color. Now drain the fish balls on paper towels and serve warm with tomato sauce.
