Coastal carolina chilled shrimp with spicy remoulade sauce recipe details
Perfectly cooked and then chilled jumbo shrimp served with a spicy “Carolina” style remoulade sauce. This is ultimate man food: you can eat it with your hands, its spicy, you can make it ahead of time, leftovers (if there are any) can be eaten for a snack any time of day, and let’s face it, woman are way more impressed with this easy appetizer than with chips and french onion dip.

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1 pound jumbo shrimp, shelled
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups mayonaise
- 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 clove fresh garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 4 mins | Extra time: 1 hour 15 mins, chilling1. Place shrimp in large pot of boiling water.
2. Add salt.
3. Boil until shrimp is pink, about 4 minutes.
4. Drain and devein shrimp.
5. Chill for 45 minutes.
6. Meanwhile, in small bowl, whisk together the mayonaise, dijon, hot sauce, garlic, paprika, cayenne, and lemon juice.
7. Refridgerate until shrimp is chilled.
8. Serve chilled shrimp with spicy remoulade sauce.Drink pairing
