Cinnamon spice bars recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
- Frosting
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
These are wonderful and store nicely. We often use these for coffee breaks when we have corporate groups.
Combine the sugar, oil, and honey. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Add to the sugar mixture, mixing well. Add the eggs and nuts. Press mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan. It will be stiff, so press batter into the corners and edges evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Frosting: Combine the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Frost while bars are hot. Cut into squares when cool (if you can wait that long).
