Chocolate-covered peanut butter delight!! Great for kids. If you don’t have a double boiler, just use a glass mixing bowl over a saucepan of boiling water.
Ready in: 3 hours 20 mins

Ingredients

Serves: 40
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
  • 1 (1 pound) bag powdered sugar
  • 1 pound unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 ounces paraffin wax

Preparation method

Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 5 mins | Extra time: 3 hours, chilling

1. Mix butter, peanut butter and powdered sugar together and form into walnut-sized balls. Cover baking sheet with wax paper and place peanut butter balls on sheet. Let chill for 2 hours or so.
2. In double boiler over medium heat, melt chocolate, cocoa powder, and wax together, about 5 minutes.
3. Stick one toothpick into each peanut butter ball. Dip balls into chocolate mixture, leaving area around toothpick free of chocolate. This makes it look like a buckeye.
4. Let excess chocolate drip off and set back on wax paper pan and chill. Remove toothpicks and serve.
