Ingredients
Makes: 6- For Rolls:
- 1/2 cup warm milk (110 degrees F)
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 1/4 cups bread flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons bread machine yeast
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/4 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- For Frosting:
- 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/8 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 15 mins | Extra time: 2 hours, rising1. In the bread machine, combine milk, egg, butter, flour, salt, white sugar, and yeast. Close machine and select Dough cycle; allow to run through the dough cycle, which will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. (Will vary.) Dough should double in size.
2. Coat an 8×8-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
3. Sprinkle some flour onto a large cutting board or countertop. Place dough on the surface and allow to sit for 10 minuets, then roll out into an 8×10-inch rectangle.
4. Brush dough with butter. Sprinkle brown sugar over the buttered dough, then sprinkle with cinnamon. Roll up from the long end and gently cut into 6 even slices, being careful not to smoosh the dough. Place in baking dish.
5. Preheat toaster oven to 400 degrees F.
6. Bake cinnamon rolls for 12 minutes. While baking, combine the frosting ingredients in a bowl. Ice cinnamon rolls right after they come out of the oven.
