Cider sorbet recipe details
Ingredients
300 ml | water |
350 g | sugar |
1 large | orange, juice only |
30 ml | brandy |
300 ml | sweet sparkling cider |
275 ml | double cream |
Instructions
Boil the water in a small saucepan. Add the sugar and heat on a medium heat, bring to a boil, reduce the heat, simmer and stir until dissolved. Leave to cool.Add the orange juice, brandy and cider and mix well. Pour into container and freeze until almost solid. Remove from the freeze and turn into a bowl. Use an electric mixer to whisk until soft.
Whisk the cream until stiff and add to the frozen syrup. Whisk gently together and return to the container. Freeze until just solid.
remove from freezer 10-15 minutes before required to soften slightly. Serve immediately in glass dishes, if possible.
