Christmas chutney recipe details
Ingredients
450 g | apple, cubed |
150 ml | apple vinegar |
1 tbsp | ginger, grated |
1 tbsp | cinnamon |
1 | orange, juiced and grated rind |
500 g | dried fruit e.g. pears, apricots, figs, chopped |
200 g | brown sugar |
Instructions
In a saucepan, mix together the apples, vinegar, ginger, cinnamon, orange juice, sugar, orange rind and dried fruit.Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved. Reduce the heat and cook over low heat for 50 minutes, stirring constantly.
Fill into jars.
Good with any kind of meat or poultry.
