Ingredients

100 g fine wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
300 g brown sugar
300 g sugar
350 g butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 large egg
180 g dark chocolate chips
75 g currants
50 g uncooked oats

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 175°C and grease a baking tray.

Mix wheat flour, salt and baking soda. Cream sugar and butter. Add vanilla essence, and eggs one by one while mixing. Add the flour mixture and mix the oats. Mix well and add currants and chocolate chips.

Now drop one spoonful of the batter 2.5 cm apart on the greased baking tray and bake for 12 – 14 minutes or until golden in colour.
