Chocolate fruitcake recipe details
Ingredients
250 g | butter |
300 g | sugar, granulated |
3 large | egg(s) |
250 g | flour, plain |
¼ tsp | salt |
250 g | candied cherries, red, halved |
250 g | candied cherries, green, halved |
125 g | candied pineapple, chopped |
180 g | walnuts and pecans, chopped or ground |
Instructions
Melt butter and chocolate in a large saucepan over low heat, stirring often. Remove from heat, and cool for about 15 minutes.Stir in sugar. Add eggs and stir well after each addition.
Add flour and salt, stirring until blended. Stir in candied fruits and nuts. Spoon mixture into 4 greased and floured 5 x 3 x 2-inch loaf pans.
Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Remove from pans, and cool on wire racks.
