Chocolate banana cake recipe details
Ingredients
5 | eggs |
200 g | butter or margarine |
230 g | sugar |
1 tsp | vanilla extract, or a little bit vanilla powder |
2 | ripe / overripe bananas, medium or large |
150 g | mixed dark and milk chocolate |
250 g | all purpose flour |
¼ tsp | salt |
1 tsp | baking powder |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C.Melt the chocolate and mix with mashed bananas.
Mix the flour, baking powder and salt with a spoon in a different bowl and put away.
Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks and beat the egg whites with a little bit of salt until stiff.
Mix the egg yolks with warm butter in a bigger bowl, then add sugar and vanilla and stir until creamy.
Add the chocolate-banana mix to the butter batter and stir a little.
Bit by bit, add the flour-mix while stirring constantly.
Carefully mix the stiff egg white under the dough with a spoon.
Bake in a round, greased baking pan for 40-50 minutes.
