Chipotle crusted pork tenderloin recipe details
This is easy to make, but impresses everyone. I think it’s using words like “crusted” and properly pronouncing “chipotle” that does it. That, and it tastes delicious.
Ready in: 3 hours 45 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 5- 1 can Chipotles in Adobo Sauce
- 1/2 cup Olive oil
- 1 bunch (1 cup) Basil, Chopped
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 25 mins | Extra time: 3 hours, marinating1. Chop or puree the chipotles in adobo sauce. Add in oil, chopped basil, salt and pepper, and mix together.
2. Add the Chipotle/basil paste to a 1 gallon ziploc bag with the pork tenderloins. Close the top and mix until the marinade covers all the pork. Refrigerate for 3 hours or so.
3. Set your grill to high (there’s no “crust” without high heat!) and put the tenderloins on the grill. Cook until they are medium (about 140 degrees, internally).
4. Let them rest for at least 10 minutes, then slice into 1/2 inch pieces and serve.Tip
Use an instant-read thermometer, inserted into the thickest part of the tenderloin, to get an internal temperature. It’s way better than cutting into the tenderloin.
