Chinese vegetables with chicken recipe details
Ingredients
2 | chicken breast, cut in stripes |
1 | celery, about the size of a man“s fist, cut into cubes |
2 medium | carrots, cut in slices |
¼ head(s) | cabbage, shredded |
2 medium | onions, cut in quarters |
100 ml | soy sauce |
50 ml | maple syrup |
1 medium | lemon |
1 tbsp | ginger, finely chopped |
1 tbsp | garlic, finely chopped |
1 pinch(es) | chili powder |
50 ml | pineapple juice |
salt and pepper, to taste | |
some | soy oil |
Instructions
Cut chicken breasts and place in a dish.Cut the vegetables and mix with the chicken. Heat oil in a wok to very hot, place vegetable/chicken mixture into the wok and cook for 5 minutes stirring all the time.
Add soy, maple syrup, lemon juice, pineapple juice and spices and cook for 1 more minute. Serve with rice.
Tip:: can also be prepared in a dutch oven (heavy cast iron pot), outdoor on a grill.
