Chinese style sake duck recipe details
Ingredients
350 g | duck breast, cut into stripes |
4 slice(s) | canned pineapple, diced |
300 ml | sake |
150 ml | water |
2 tbsp | soy sauce |
1 tsp | sugar |
1 tsp | cornflour |
1 tbsp | water |
8 small | Maraschino cherries |
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine the sake, water and duck breast. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir in the soy sauce, sugar, cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of the pineapple juice from the can. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the pineapples and Maraschino cherries and simmer for 2 more minutes. Season to taste with soy sauce and pineapple juice.Serve with rice.
