- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup dates, chopped
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 teaspoon almond flavoring
Beat eggs and sugar together and then mix in all other ingredients. Put in buttered square pan and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Variations:Can substitute dates with dried cherries or other fruits and other nuts instead of dates and pecans.
